Nelson's Halloween Cocktail Evening

Get ready to mix, shake, and sip your way into the Halloween spirit with Nelson’s Distillery! On Thursday, 31st October at 6:30pm, join us live on Facebook for a spine-chilling cocktail evening. We’ll be crafting three devilishly delightful cocktails, each using Nelson's premium spirits to set the perfect spooky mood for your Halloween celebrations.
Whether you’re throwing a costume party or just looking to enjoy a delicious drink while handing out sweets to trick-or-treaters, these cocktails are sure to cast a spell on you.
Nelson’s Zombie
Get the party started with this tropical yet terrifyingly delicious creation! The Nelson’s Zombie is a powerful potion that blends Nelson’s Signature Blend Rum and Roasted Pineapple Rum for a rich, fruity flavour. Add in a splash of citrus and a hint of sweetness, and you’ll have a drink so good, it’ll bring the dead back to life!
Ingredients:
- 30ml Nelson’s Signature Blend Rum
- 20ml Nelson’s Roasted Pineapple Rum
- 15ml Triple Sec
- 30ml Orange Juice
- 15ml Lime Juice
- 15ml Simple Syrup
- 5ml Grenadine
- Orange slice and cherry (for garnish)
Instructions:
- Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice.
- Shake and strain into a highball glass filled with crushed ice.
- Stir and garnish with a cherry and an orange slice.
Nelson’s Bloody Bucks Fizz
For a spooky twist on the classic Bucks Fizz, this cocktail uses Nelson’s Bucks Fizz Gin and rich blood orange juice, topped with champagne for a bubbly and eerie finish. Perfect for a sophisticated Halloween toast, the Nelson’s Bloody Bucks Fizz will have you feeling classy and a little bit wicked.
Ingredients:
- 25ml Nelson’s Bucks Fizz Gin
- 35ml Blood Orange Juice
- Champagne (to top)
- Blood orange slice (for garnish)
Instructions:
- Add the gin and blood orange juice to a champagne flute.
- Top with chilled champagne and garnish with a blood orange twist.
Nelson’s Black Forest Ne-groan-i
If you’re after something dark and mysterious, the Black Forest Ne-groan-i is the drink for you. This sophisticated take on the classic Negroni features Nelson’s Black Forest Gin, which draws inspiration from the indulgent Black Forest Gateaux. Perfect for those who prefer a bitter, complex cocktail with a ghoulish twist.
Ingredients:
- 25ml Nelson’s Black Forest Gin
- 25ml Sweet Vermouth
- 25ml Campari
- Blood orange slice (for garnish)
Instructions:
- Pour the gin, vermouth, and Campari into a mixing glass with ice. Stir well until the glass feels cold.
- Strain into a tumbler with 1 large ice sphere or fresh ice, and garnish with a slice of blood orange.
