Neil Harrison, the Founder and Master Distiller of Nelsons Distillery & School, and revered chef – is now the author of his very own recipe book!
Neil’s love of food saw him train as a chef at Birmingham College of Food, where he gained an education in the art of cooking. Alongside his studies, Neil worked at the college’s Atrium restaurants, simultaneously acquiring in-house experience.
Upon graduating, he soon started work at the luxurious The Feathers in Shropshire. And not long after, opened a highly successful Australian-themed restaurant called Jumbucks, right in the city of London.
This allowed him the chance and freedom to finally get creative and push the boundaries of his menus. Neil’s love of experimenting with menus blossomed and very quickly, led to him designing his very own alcoholic spirits.
Though starting out as a simple hobby, it was to his great surprise that Nelson’s Gin became a huge hit!
Neil then took it as a sign to open his own Gin & Vodka School to share his knowledge of gin and gin-making with fellow gin lovers and more importantly, countless potential gin converts out there!
Today, Nelson’s Distillery & School has proudly grown into a worldwide brand. We have opened schools with luxury hotels in the Philippines, major cities in the UK, and more soon all over the world.
